An outstanding fleet, in an outstanding age for British shipping, the post-war
Port Line was a major force
not only in the great refrigerated trade between southern and northern hemispheres,
but also in the advancement of cargo ship design.
Later Port Line ships could appear somewhat ungainly, but not this one; here streamlining is used with a sure touch.
